Eric Morel's passion for mixed martial arts began in 1999, when he started training under Chris Love, quickly showcasing his talent by placing 3rd in his first Naga tournament just a year later. In 2001, he diversified his skillset by joining America TKA for Muay Thai under Javier Gil and Straight Blast Gym for Submission Wrestling under Luis Gutierrez. This dedication paid off in 2002 with his Lord of The Ring Welterweight title win.
Eric's hunger for knowledge led him to train under renowned figures like Christian Toleque, Marcelo "Brutus" Silveira, Douglas Villefort, and Luis Nazario at American Top Team, honing his expertise in various disciplines. Throughout his career, he has coached and conditioned high-caliber athletes including Olympic wrestler Lila Ristevska, MLB MVP Miguel Tejada, and UFC veteran Charles "Boston Strong" Rosa.
